SINCE 74

GENUINE | EXPLAINED

IS

SINCE 74 GENUINE?

IN SHORT, YES!
So what makes a sheepskin boot 'genuine'?
A genuine Australian sheepskin boot is defined by 3 main categories:

1

Location

Australian made

Genuine Australian sheepskin boots are 100% handmade in Australia, as they have been for over 50 years where they originated in the 70s

2

Proof

sew in label

The sew in label will say 'Made in Australia'. Generally, the sew in label in the boots of other brands will reveal that they were manufactured in Asia. PS. If there is no sew in label, they are unlikely to be Australian made.

3

Materials

sheepskin type

Genuine Australian sheepskin boots should be handmade using A-Grade double faced Merino Sheepskin. Why? Check our blog here. Most boots are now being crafted from a synthetic fur designed to imitate sheepskin, but in reality, the fur is made from a mix of wool and lyocell.
